Tony Marsh, Director of Creative and Communications

Tony Marsh is a founding partner of Global Strategic Partners and serves GSP as Creative Director, and Director of Campaign Communications. Mr. Marsh has worked for more than 30 years devising and overseeing strategic communications programs that deliver compelling, motivational messages target audiences.

In the U.S., Mr. Marsh has managed dozens of communications, research and programmatic efforts by corporations, committees and more than 250 successful political campaigns. Mr. Marsh served as a strategic advisor and advertiser for the campaigns of Presidents Reagan, Bush (41), and Trump. He has also served as as a strategist and advertiser for the Republican National Committee, the National Republican Senatorial Committee, and the National Republican Congressional Committee.

Internationally, Mr. Marsh has worked for presidents, prime ministers, legislators, political parties and governments in more than a dozen countries. In Iraq, Mr. Marsh served as an advisor and advertiser for Nechirvan Barzani, prime minister of the Kurdish Regional Government, and for his party, the Kurdish Democratic Party, in parliamentary elections and party building between 2005 and 2014.

Mr. Marsh’s involvement in Iraq started with designing, building, and managing a national media facility in Baghdad sponsored by the International Republican Institute in association with the U.S. Department of State.

In that capacity, Mr. Marsh worked with the U.S. government, Iraqi Provisional Government, and a large variety of Iraqi political actors to enhance civil discourse, establish media and production capacity, and facilitate better communications between the then interim government and the people of Iraq. 

The Baghdad Studios produced hundreds of television commercials, long format videos, and entertainment programming intended to promote peace, civil society, and political engagement.

Mr. Marsh is also an author and award winning media producer. He is a licensed pilot and avid sailor. He and his family live in the Washington DC area.
