Rob Varsalone is a certified public opinion researcher with over 20 years of experience in domestic and international politics. He specializes in conducting public opinion research in non-permissive environments and has conducted hundreds of research projects in nearly 30 countries around the world. Previous clients include domestic and international political leaders and parties, international businesses, NGOs, and government officials. He has worked on projects funded by the U.S. Department of State, USAID, the National Endowment for Democracy, UNICEF, and the British and Canadian governments.
Mr. Varsalone also served as Chief of Party for an international NGO in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq, implementing U.S. government-funded democracy and governance programs. Iraq has been a special focus of his work. He has conducted numerous polls and research projects, trained and advised political parties, and worked with the country’s sheikhs and tribes.
Mr. Varsalone is also a veteran of numerous U.S. local, state, and national campaigns. He has served as the Senior Advisor to U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte, NH Governor Craig Benson, and Florida Governor Jeb Bush. He has also served as an advisor to the re-election campaign of President George W. Bush, the Republican National Committee, the National Republican Senatorial Committee, and the New Hampshire Republican Party.
Mr. Varsalone has lectured and conducted dozens of trainings on politics and research, including at the Yale Campaign School and the Information Technology University in Lahore, Pakistan. He also conducted Research Training Academies in Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Mr. Varsalone has also served in elected office. He is a former state legislator, having been elected to the NH House of Representatives, and he currently serves as an elected member of the Town of Chester Budget Committee.
Mr. Varsalone is a certified pollster, having received his Professional Researcher Certification (PRC) from the Marketing Research Association (MRA).
In 2006, Mr. Varsalone was the first foreigner to be awarded the Ghazi Mir Bacha Khan High Medal, Afghanistan’s highest civilian honor.
