David Denehy / Managing Partner

David M. Denehy is the founder and managing partner of Global Strategic Partners, an international consultancy that specializes in a broad range of public affairs and strategic communications for governments, companies, movements, and political campaigns.

In the United States, Mr. Denehy has advised on strategies and public communications for more than 300 campaigns for federal, state, and local office earning a remarkable record of winning more than 85% of the contests with which he has been involved. 

Mr. Denehy served as a communications consultant for the Republican National Committee, and as the political director for the House Republican Caucus of the Connecticut State Legislature.

Mr. Denehy has served on the staff of four presidential campaigns. 

Outside the United States, Mr. Denehy has served as a senior advisor to more than 100 political contests across the globe.  

Before founding GSP in 2010, Mr. Denehy served as a partner in multiple consultancies including Denehy, Aronson and Lee; The Denehy Group; and Redstone. Mr. Denehy has also advised many other political consulting firms and their political campaign clients.

Among the several hundred programs which he produced, directed, or created in Iraq were a series of cartoons directed to families with young children. The cartoons were based on the theme of the Arabian nights and sought to impress on children the values of tolerance, freedom, women’s rights, and respect for rule of law. The children’s programs eventually appeared on nearly every television station in Iraq and served as the foundation for a curricula in primary schools nationally.

Between 1993 and 1998, Mr. Denehy worked in a variety of roles with the International Republican Institute, including as IRI’s Russia Country Director from 1996 to 1998. There he supported Russian political parties and worked with the reelection campaign of Boris Yeltsin. He subsequently opened IRI’s offices in Georgia and Azerbaijan.
